What is PILKE25 competition?
The Reserve Sports Association (Reserviläisurheiluliitto) will organise PILKE 2025 in Central Finland on 26-28 September 2025 in cooperation with the Central Finland reservists organisations.
PILKE 2025 is a military patrol competition that honors the World War II Headquarters (ERP 4) and the Air Force recon units. The event's name derives from Kuohun Pilke Oy, a cover company for reconnaissance activities after the war, operated by former recon soldiers. The competition consists of a field march, checkpoints measuring military and general skills and knowledge, and shooting.
The competition center for the event is Peurunka Arena in Laukaa, and the plan is for the field checkpoints to be located in the Laukaa–Jyväskylä area. Approximately 40 patrols are expected to participate, some of which will come from Estonia and other NATO partner countries.
Associations are needed!
The national jotos event is a showcase of Central Finland’s spirit of national defense. We need all associations and defenders of the homeland to participate in the event, either as checkpoint personnel or alternatively as members of a competition team.
Officials – Checkpoint Personnel Registration via MPK
Checkpoint personnel will register for the MPK course, which will be available in the MPK training calendar starting from April 7, 2025. Officials can sign up for one or two days, or for the entire duration of the event. Accommodation at Peurunka will be arranged for officials if needed, and meals will be provided through MPK.
The competition requires people with a wide range of skills. The checkpoint themes are provided by the organizing committee, and participants will receive a briefing on their assigned checkpoint topic before the event.
We aim to assign each organisation or location a specific checkpoint theme and location, along with responsibility for the development and operation of the checkpoint. The plans will be reviewed and refined together at a later stage.
